A skywalk tower has been constructed near the Kanyam tea garden on the Mechi Highway to attract more tourists. It is located at Suryodaya Rural Municipality-7, Illam. This will be the best place to visit for adventure lovers which allows visitors to walk over the 60-feet glass bridge, offering 360-degree views. The tower has stairs, about 4 meters wide, and 7 meters long glass is placed at the top and can climb up to 22 people at a time. Although the tower has the capacity to climb up to 22 people but only up to 8 people will be allowed to climb at once. There will be a switch cover, a record of the number of people who have climbed, and security guards for the safety of skywalkers.
This tower is built in 3 steps, after climbing two steps you’ll find transparent glass, and standing on the glass feels like standing in the sky. Kanyam is a famous place for tourists, especially for domestic tourists tea garden is popular. Walking on the glass of this sky tower one can get views of 16 districts of eastern Nepal and Darjeeling, Siliguri, and Sikkim as well. You can see tea plantations around Kanyam, a beautiful panorama of the Himalayas such as Kanchenjunga, plains, beautiful scenery of both sunrise and sunset, and the whole Terai region. On the top, it gives a thrilling experience.
The Sky Restaurant will also be opened along with the tower and a swing will also be constructed in the second phase. New adventure tourism sports and destinations are being developed in Nepal. After one and a half years of construction, the Sky Tower is opened for visitors from Kartik 18, 2079. There is a ticket of Rs.500 for Nepali citizens, Rs.800 for SAARC nationals, and Rs.2000 for tourists from other nations. Shooting videos and taking photos wearing cultural clothes will also be allowed.
This project is an initiation of a group of women, Kanyam Cloud Pvt Ltd which has all-women investors and a collaboration with the Wonders Skywalk.
