Jarsing Pauwa or Lapshiphedi is located at Sankhu at an altitude of 1792 m. It is one of the emerging tourist destinations near Kathmandu Valley. This place is also popular for hiking, picnics, camping, and other activities. Tea Garden which is also known as Mini Illam is also nearby.
It is 22 km from Kathmandu and 7 km far from Sankhu. Beautiful villages can be seen on the way. You will view deep valleys, lush green forests, villages, birds singing and terraced fields. You can enjoy the beautiful view of the mountains from here during clear weather. The Himalaya range of Langtang, Lakpa Dorje, Jugal, Ganesh Himal, and Gauri Shankar can be seen. Jarsing Pauwa has the main junction for Nagarkot, Sankhu, Chauki Bhanjyang and Chapabot. It had a population of 5,040 spread over 919 households during the 1991 Nepal census.

Hiking starts at Sankhu which is a popular religious place in the north of Kathmandu. Walking uphill from the Sankhu, passing through natural and historical places you will reach Jarsing Pauwa. It will take approximately 2.5 half hours. From Jarsing Pauwa there is a route towards Nagarkot, which is about 8 km. You can also reach Nagarkot by road or hike through Jarsing Pauwa.
