Commercial paragliding flights started at the famous Hill Station Chandragiri, 20 minutes west of Bhaleshwar Temple. Paragliding starts from Chandragiri Hill (2300 meters) in Kathmandu Valley and landing will take place at Chitlang, which is 1700 meters above sea level. Chitlang area is also a popular tourist area. Tourists can enjoy a 15 to 25 minute paragliding flight service.
Tourists can see the aerial view of Bhaleshwar temple and other places such as Chandragiri area, Indrasarowar lake (man-made lake), Tistung, Palung, Chitlang, Dhading as well as most parts of Kathmandu valley.
A windproof jacket and sunglasses are recommended while paragliding. Also, it is better to wear shoes than slippers as you have to run during the flight ‘take off’.
