Kamal pokhari – Hattisar
Kamal pokhari is a historic pond located in Hattisar, Kathmandu nearby the City center building. You can reach Kamal pokhari on foot or by a local bus, safa tempo from Jamal. It is also near Gaushala, Pashupati.
Nag pokhari – Naxal

Gahana pokhari – Handigaun
Gahana pokhari is located in Handigaun or also known as Tangal. This pond is famous for Tundaldevi Jatra also called “Gahana Khojne Jatra”.
Rani Pokhari – Jamal
Rani Pokhari is a historic pond in Kathmandu, Nepal. “Rani” means “queen,” and “Pokhari” means “pond”. So, Rani Pokhari is the “Queen’s Pond”. It is also known as “Nhu Pukhu” in the Newa language. Nhu means new and pukhu means pond. It’s a big, square-shaped pond in the middle of the city and is a famous place.
People can walk around it, and there’s a temple in the middle. The temple has a statue of the god Shiva.
Ikha Pokhari – Chhetrapati
Ikha Pokhari (इखा पोखरी) is also known as Ikha Pukhu by locals in the Newa language.
It is located in Chhetrapati, Kathmandu, next to Kanya Mandir school. The pond was used for various rituals by locals.

Siddha Pokhari – Bhaktapur
Siddha Pokhari is located in Bhaktapur. It is also known as “Ta Pukhu” in the local community which means the big pond. It is right behind the Bhaktapur Hospital, Dudhpati. You can also reach there by a local bus from Bagbazaar. There are two routes, a route from the old road (purano bato) will take you to the pond.

Muhan Pokhari – Budhanilkantha
Muhan Pokhari is located in the Budhanilkantha area of the Kathmandu Valley in Shivapuri National Park. From Budhanilkantha temple you can reach the entrance of the park in a few minutes on your bike or car.
Dhap Dam – Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park
Dhap dam is the best place for a hike and experience rural life, jungle walks, and wildlife. You can hike for 3-4 hours to reach Dham dam from Sundarijal. You can also reach there by motorbike in about 1 hour from Sundarijal. Dhap dam distance from Kathmandu is 28 kilometers. You can get there from the Sundarijal area and also from the Sankhu area.
Kalamasi Bojini dam
Kalamasi Bojini dam is a small man made beautiful lake, located in the western lap of Nagarkot at Changunarayan municipality. It takes less than two hours to reach here from Kathmandu to Koteshwor – Jagati – Karyabinayak – Nagarkot Road by two wheeler or a four wheeler vehicle.

Maidi Lake
Maidi Lake is located in Kaski, Nepal. It is surrounded by snow-capped peaks and lush green forests.
Dipang Lake
Dipang lake is the fourth-largest lake of Lekhnath. It is located in the Lekhnath municipality of the Kaski district. It was listed in the World Wetland List in 2016. It is called the Honeymoon Lake because different species of pair guest birds migrate here to escape the winter season.
Dhikur Pokhari
Dhikur Pokhari Village is named after a pond that is part of the Kaski Province of northern-central Nepal. Dhikur or Dhukur is a ‘dove’ in Nepali. The main attractions of Dhikur Pokhari are trekking and paragliding with peaceful surroundings, an ideal escape for travelers.

Phewa Tal, Phewa Lake, or Fewa Lake is a famous lake in Nepal. It is the second-largest lake in Nepal and the most visited lake in Nepal. The Tal Barahi Temple is located on an island in the lake. Ratna Mandir Durbar is also one of the major attractions.
Rupa Tal
Rupa Tal is located on the border of Pokhara Metropolitan and Rupa Rural Municipality of Kaski District. It is the one of main tourist attractions in Pokhara.

Bish Hazari Tal is located in the southern corner of Bharatpur, near Chitwan National Park. Bish Hazari Tal means 20 thousand lakes in English. The lake has many small and big lakes in it.
It is also spelled as Beeshazar Tal. It is in the southern corner of Bharatpur within the Chitwan National Park.
This lake can be easily accessed from Sauraha or Bharatpur.
