Khaptad Lake (खप्तड ताल) is located in Doti, Nepal. It is also known as Khappar daha. Spread over an area of 225 square kilometers in the northeastern part of Khaptad National Park. This lake is at an altitude of 3,050 m above sea level. Colorful flowers bloom around this area.
The view is very beautiful from this place, surrounded by lush green forests and the lake in the middle. Along with its natural and religious significance, the glory of the lake is more as it is connected with Rara Khaptad hiking.
During the winter season, there is snowfall around the lake. Along with the beautiful lake, the scenic view of the surroundings attracts tourists. There is a temple near the lake. Different types of plants and wild animals are found in this area. Lake provides fresh water for many wildlife.
From that lake, a panoramic view of the snow-covered mountains and views of the neighboring districts of Achham and Bajhang can be seen. You can also enjoy boating there. Currently, 2 boats are ready from 9 am for tourists.
